Very upbeat! The piano feels like it's missing something to me. I'm really digging the bass and the drumming though!

Thanks pal!
This beat is nice! I love your composition method too of the wheel. It's less a genre and more of a style, but what you're doing reminds me of Chance music, where stuff like the BPM, the key and other aspects of your song get decided by chance. Rolling dice, asking friends for input without context, etc. Could be a cool way to get a staring point if you're ever needing quick inspiration.
On that note, what exactly is it that comprises a Blog House song? Never heard of that genre before.
To put it simply, Blog House is a child of Dance and Electroclash. You've probably known Dance by now. Electroclash is a genre that basically fuses 1980s electro, new wave and synth-pop with 1990s techno, retro-style electropop and EDM.
Wasn't sure about this one until that beat dropped and then it got absolutely FILTHY good.
Production process feels the same way, never know what to think till you get the hook going :)
This song just oozes mischief. "Don't go into the woods, there's gnomes in there!" type of vibe.
Exactly what I was going for lol Thank you for listening :)
I'm assuming this one was recorded close to Christmas because it really captures the cold stillness of winter and the aching melancholy of the holiday season. The mic kinda spikes a bit in places though which pulls you out for a bit
Sorry about the mic issues, I didn’t realise that. I’m on holiday at the moment so my usual recording setup is compromised. Glad you enjoyed it though!
Ooh this mix sounds so crisp!! Nice melodies too, you really encapsulated the image of a sunset over the beach. Great work!
Thank you so much! I tried my best :D
This is very good. You're right in that the violin gets a little too vibrato-y at times but it certainly feels lively and expressive. When the other strings kick in around 1:30 it just feels so moving. Very evocative composition throughout. This is great for having only been done in a couple hours.
Thanks dude! Really appreciate it. It's amazing how I crunch myself in order to finish this stuff haha. I'll get bald in short to no time lol
This is really good. You've got a very chill voice. The drop has considerable power and depth without feeling overwhelming. It hits you like an aurora borealis, if that makes any sense. The mix is just super crisp throughout, everything comes through so well.
You have every right to be proud of this track man, you made it with love and care and it shows.
Thanks so much! It's always great to hear things I've worked a ton on get described as "powerful with depth". I was hoping the mixing was good since I can't use headphones lol.
P.s. The vocals aren't me singing unfortunately, I can only dream of being able to sing lol. However the vocals are from a royalty free pack :)
Oof, I'm torn on this one. The guitar sounds incredible. Gives me some Metallica vibes with the crisp, clean mixing and the fast, machine gun-like strumming. On the other hand, you are right in that there are some audio issues, chiefly the phase clicking present throughout the track, mainly on the top end. It's most noticeable in the intro and outro. It wasn't annoying, but it WAS noticeable and it steals a LOT of attention away from the exceptional guitar playing. I'm not sure at what point in the mix these clicks got introduced in the process of making this song, but I would urge you to seek alternative solutions if this problem persists because it really takes away from how good the instrumentation is.
thanks.
the mixing problems primarily came from strange gaps in the audio where there shouldn’t have been gaps. the only feasible solution I could find was OBS recording the song and turning that into an mp3.
I’ll see if I can actually get the song to work later.
Composer, game designer, and professional dumbass.
